2006 Invasion of the Pirates generated quite a bit of buzz --there were mentions
of the event in print in
People Magazine,
the
Star News (including a front page story with pictures), Focus
on the Coast, Wilma, Limelight, Encore, Wilmington Parent, Currents, numerous
newsletters, and web sites. There were live segments on the news on WWAY TV3 and
the Invasion was highlighted on
Your
Hometown Show. The Bone radio station had a live remote during the Flotilla.
