The 2007 Flotilla took place on the Cape Fear River on Saturday, October 6th. The lighted decorated boats with costumed crews entertained thousands who lined the riverfont on a beautiful, balmy October night!

2006 Invasion of the Pirates Flotilla Winners

Boats competed for prizes, including the Paul M. Sullins Cup, created in honor of WHET's late Vice President and our dear friend. It was awarded to the vessel and crew that demonstrated the most initiative, ingenuity and pirate spirit in their decorations, costumes and actions.
FOR TAKING ON THE DIFFICULT TASK OF JUDGING THE BOATS FOR THE 2006 INVASION, WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK: KITTY KINNIN HOST OF YOUR HOMETOWN SHOW, MARK KESLING, DIRECTOR OF THE CHILDREN'S MUSEUM OF WILMINGTON, AND MAYOR BILL SAFFO.
